BETFRED's online marketing team has won one of the most recognised awards in the betting industry, the prestigious E-Gaming Review Online Marketing Campaign of the Year award.
The BETFRED team beat off fierce competition from last year’s winners Bodog, along with online gaming rivals 888.com, English Harbour, Jackpot Joy and Gamesys.
Over 500 people from the industry’s major betting and gaming sites along with suppliers from around the world attended the glitzy black tie ceremony at the Natural History Museum in London.
Over the last year BETFRED has produced a number of cutting-edge, thought provoking online campaigns that have seen customer sign-ups increase by over 500% per week year on year, along with huge increases in poker, casino, sports and games turnover.
In particular, the ‘Theo and Crouchy investigates’ five-part satirical feature run during the World Cup, featuring animated versions of England players Theo Walcott and Peter Crouch proved to be a huge success in increasing brand awareness.
BETFRED'S internet marketing manager, Paul Gambrill said:
“Over the past year we have tried to ensure that our online advertising retains a fun feeling, whilst ensuring that the messages are conveyed in a thought provoking and innovative manner.
“All our online advertising is produced by an extremely skilled in-house team; that allows us to react quickly to changes in the online gaming world while ensuring that we stand out from the crowd.
“The betting marketplace can be a faceless one but at BETFRED we like to stress that people are placing a bet with a person – founder and chairman Fred Done himself. Fred has always put his money where his mouth is when it comes to taking a bet and we will continue to use him in a number of our campaigns.
Fred Done said:
“The online market is where the future of gaming is and we are focusing our attention on building our client base and making betting online with BETFRED enjoyable and rewarding. My team work hard to achieve these goals and therefore deserve all the praise they get.”
